For RYMA, this idea was the desire to create objects that transcend trends and become a natural part of a space. Not simply ceramic tableware or decorative pieces, but objects with character — tactile, serene, handcrafted, and inspired by nature.
The journey began with experimentation. I was searching for my own language of form, exploring different textures, glaze shades, and surface treatments. Some ideas remained only as sketches, while others gradually evolved into complete collections.
In many ways, the creation of RYMA became a natural continuation of the interior design studio’s work. Years of creating interiors shaped an understanding of how important details are in making a space feel complete. This vision led to the desire to create objects that could become an organic part of contemporary interiors.
Today, the brand is only beginning its journey. Ahead are new collections, collaborations with designers and architects, participation in exhibitions, and the continued development of RYMA’s own language of object design.

ARTDOM: A Space Where Design Becomes an Experience
The ARTDOM 2026 exhibition once again confirmed its position as one of the key events in Russia’s interior design industry. This year, the exhibition brought together hundreds of Russian and international brands, showcasing furniture, lighting, finishing materials, art objects, and collectible design within a single creative environment. The central theme of the exhibition focused on the sensory experience of interiors — the idea that contemporary design engages not only the eye but all human senses.
It was particularly evident that Russian manufacturers continue to develop with confidence. Many exhibition stands were presented as fully realized interior environments, where the focus was not on individual pieces of furniture or objects, but on the atmosphere as a whole. The architecture of the displays, the thoughtful use of lighting, natural materials, and attention to detail created a sense of carefully curated spaces.
One of the strongest impressions was the growing focus on calm natural tones and expressive textures. After the completion of every project comes a special moment — the opportunity to see the interior filled with life. This is why we place great importance on final photography, as it allows us to preserve not only the space itself but also its atmosphere and character.
For this project in Berdsk, we chose a documentary-style photoshoot. This approach feels especially close to us: the images do not appear staged, but rather capture moments as if they happened naturally. Light, movement, a sense of everyday life, and carefully considered details create the feeling that the interior truly exists as a living environment. This type of photography is also carried out efficiently, helping preserve the authenticity of every frame.
The work on this house lasted approximately one year. During this time, the project evolved from an initial concept into a fully realized space, with nature itself becoming the main source of inspiration.
The interior was created in a contemporary eco-inspired style, using natural materials and textures. Solid wood, natural stone, veneer, and carefully selected finishes that reproduce the character of organic surfaces come together throughout the space. All window reveals are finished with natural veneer, while the ground floor features stone window sills that emphasize the architecture of the house and create a more cohesive interior.
Special attention was given to custom details. In the master bathroom, a sink carved from a single piece of river stone preserves the natural form of the material almost untouched. In the second bathroom, a minimalist concrete sink creates a striking contrast with the warm wooden surfaces.
The color palette is built around calm natural shades: white, various tones of grey, dusty terracotta, and muted green. Wood becomes a warm accent that unites all areas into a harmonious composition.
We believe that a truly successful interior reveals itself not only through drawings or visualizations, but through everyday life. This is why documentary photography for us is not simply a way to present a completed project, but an opportunity to preserve its authentic atmosphere — the way it is experienced by its owners every day.

A Journey to China: CIFF and Furniture China 2025
A trip to China in 2025 provided an opportunity to experience two completely different interior design exhibitions — CIFF and Furniture China. Although both events focus on design, furniture, and interior solutions, the impressions they left were remarkably different.
CIFF — A Scale Impossible to Experience in One Day
CIFF is a vast international exhibition bringing together thousands of manufacturers of furniture, finishing materials, lighting, and interior objects. The scale is truly impressive: dozens of exhibition halls, hundreds of stands, and an endless number of new ideas and solutions.
Among the displays were many strong brands with carefully designed exhibition concepts, engaging installations, and contemporary collections. It is here that one can truly sense how rapidly the global interior industry continues to evolve.
At the same time, the exhibition is so large that alongside outstanding presentations, there are also stands that resemble enormous wholesale markets. Almost everything can be found here — from collectible design objects to mass-produced products. This contrast makes CIFF both highly valuable and challenging to navigate: discovering truly inspiring solutions requires careful selection and a thoughtful approach.
Furniture China — A Contemporary Perspective on Chinese Design
Furniture China created a completely different impression.
The exhibition primarily featured Chinese manufacturers and brands. The atmosphere felt much more intimate, calm, and focused specifically on design. Many companies did not allow photography of their displays, which emphasized the value of their collections and their attention to intellectual property.
It was at Furniture China that China revealed itself from an unexpected perspective.
Many exhibitions impressed with their high level of craftsmanship, bold interior concepts, and distinctive design language. Instead of simply following European trends, there was a strong sense of confidence in their own aesthetic vision. Natural materials, expressive textures, complex furniture forms, attention to detail, and a refined approach to space created interiors that felt contemporary, unique, and harmonious.
One of the most memorable aspects was how naturally Chinese designers combine traditional cultural references with contemporary minimalism. The result is a design language that cannot be confused with either European or Japanese interiors.
Why Visiting International Exhibitions Matters
